Scholar Science Symposium
How do we defend our findings in front of the community?

What scholars do
The year closes with a community symposium. Scholars present posters, films and prototypes to families, educators and outside judges, then take questions and defend their reasoning out loud. Public defense is the standard — excellence is something they demonstrate, not something they are told they have.
Goals for the year
- Every scholar presents and defends at least one full investigation publicly each year.
- Bring 300+ family and community members into the building for the symposium.
- Judge every presentation on the shared 4-point scholar rubric with written feedback.
